At English Martyrs Catholic Primary School, our intent across all our Literacy teaching, including early reading and Phonics, is as follows: We are learning to love reading, to communicate effectively, to write with passion and precision, and to want to learn more. Success in Phonics and early reading, from the very first days in Reception, is key to achieving this goal.
