Headteacher's Welcome

Dear parents, carers and visitors,

On behalf of the children, staff and governors, I warmly welcome you to English Martyrs Catholic Primary School in Rugby, Warwickshire.

We are a vibrant, inclusive and family-orientated school with a strong community ethos. I am so proud to be Head of this caring community of learners with a fantastic staff team, dedicated Governors, supportive parents and happy, engaged children.

Each of our staff is highly dedicated and will always go the extra mile to ensure that every child is valued, inspired and engaged.

This is achieved through a creative and forward-thinking curriculum where we aim to master the basics we need for life in reading, writing and maths as well as develop our knowledge and curiosity of the world.

At English Martyrs Catholic Primary school, we live and learn in Christ’s love and light.  Throughout our school journey, we know we are loved by God and we show God’s love to others.  We are inspired by Jesus’ words in Matthew’s Gospel:

Ask, and it shall be given you;
seek, and ye shall find;
knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

Christ’s words are represented by the three areas of focus for our curriculum development – Curious, Engaged and Aspirational.  With Christ at the centre of our school, our school’s nature of Curiosity (Ask), Aspiration (Seek) and Engagement (Knock and Opened) are fully represented in our curriculum.

Please have a look around our amazing school by viewing the different sections and the school tour on our newly-developed website.  We look forward to a time when we can offer parents the opportunity to look around our school, in the meantime, please contact us and we will be delighted to meet you.
